| The Judges arrived and assemble at the village centre by the Chestnut Tree, grown from a conker brought back from Flanders during the 1st World War. As this tree is getting old, several people are taking conkers to grow so that when the time comes, we can replace the tree with one of it’s own offspring. The Chestnut Tree is a designated Conservation Area since 1997. |

On to the Shop – Shaun and Geraldine Livesey took over the shop 3 years ago and have turned it in to a very successful and modern min-market. They listen to what the villagers want and wherever possible act on it. They provide a delivery service, which is particularly useful to housebound and elderly people. They display pictures by local artists and Binding Stone Book in the window. They will also display photographs of special occasions e.g. Carnival and take orders for copies. |
