AUTUMN SHOW 2007

The annual Autumn Show was held on Saturday 6^th October.  This year the number of entries was well down on previous years, nevertheless the hall did look well.  The judging was done by Mr Blake (veg), Mr Jasper (flowers), Mrs Bluett (floral art) and Miss Sheer (juniors).   

Mr Ivan Colston won the Cup for most points in Vegetable Section, the Dick Lamerton Cup for best Vegetable Collection and the F and M Hillson Memorial cup for most points in Flower Section.  Mr John Edward-Collins won the Runner up cup in Vegetable Section and Mrs Jenny Keat the Runner up cup in flower Section.  Mrs Ruth Wright won the cup for the Best Flower Exhibit with a glorious rose while Mr Raymond Jago took the M E L Williams cup for Best Exhibit in Vegetables with a magnificent stand of 24 onions.

In floral art Mrs Judith Jasper won both the Millennium Cup for most points and the Dulcie Denny Cup for best exhibit with her beautiful arrangement of three sunflowers.  Marley Lamerton Madden won the cup and medal for best exhibit in Junior Classes with her animal made from vegetable matter and pressed flowers on a card.
