ST TUDY GARDEN PRODUCE ASSOCIATION
SPRING SHOW 2007
Despite all that the March weather could throw at us – hail, sleet, frost, sun, wind – the Village Hall was full of daffodils for our Spring Show on Saturday 31st March. It was one of the best shows for many years, which makes it so rewarding for the organisers. It was good to welcome back Burnard Hawken to judge the flowers. Other judges were Mrs Angela Roose (Floral At), Mrs Sloman (Cookery) and Mrs Jerred (Handicrafts).

Mrs Nancy Harris for her wonderful collection all perfectly matched won the Anne Luck Memorial Cup for Best Daffodil/Narcissi exhibit and, needless to add, this also won the Cup for the Best Exhibit in Show.

Mrs Jean Smith won the Cup for most points in Flower Classes. Mrs Judith Jasper won the Weekes Rose Bowl for most points in Floral Art Classes and the Cup for the Best Exhibit in Floral Art for an innovative display of yellow and white flowers. The Wildey Cup for most points in Home Produce went to Mrs Jane Miller with Mrs Catherine Hudson taking the Runner-up cup. Miss Nora Sheer was awarded the Cup for most points in Handicrafts while Mr John Bartlett won the Cup for Best Handicraft Exhibit for a photograph of a local stone stile.
