St Tudy Garden Produce Association
Summer Show 2007
Our Summer Show was held on Saturday 11th August – at the end of a week of “summer” weather at last! This unfamiliar sunshine obviously had helped bring out the blooms as the village hall looked lovely. Judges were Mr Kendrick from Bodmin (vegetables), Mr Crewes from Goonhavern (flowers) and Mrs Cragg from Michaelstow (floral art).
Brian Lamerton had made it back from his holiday in Scotland in time to present the prizes. The cup for most points in Vegetable Section was won by Mr I Colston, with Mr Pearce taking the runner-up cup. Mrs Jenny Keat won the cup for most points in Cut Flowers Section and Mrs Mary Edward Collins runner-up. The John Stone Cup for most points in Pot Plant Section gained by a St Tudy GPA member was won by Mr Sidney Bastard, the Dray Memorial Cup for most points in Vegetable and flower Sections was won by Mr Colston and the Lamerton Memorial Cup for Best Exhibit in Show was won by Mr Raymond Jago for four perfectly matched potatoes.
Mrs Judith Jasper won the Cup for most points in Floral Art.

Much to her surprise Jane King received the cup for
Best Exhibit in Floral Art from Brian Lamerton.

WINNERS – ALL!!
