St Tudy Garden Produce Association Autumn Show 2010
Our last show of the year was held on 9th October. Unfortunately several of our regular exhibitors were away, so entries were down on last year, but everyone rallied round and produced some excellent exhibits. Many thanks to our judges - Mr M Blake, vegetables, Mr N Bacon, flowers, Mrs A Copus, floral art and Miss Nora Sheer, juniors. In the vegetable section Mr Sidney Bastard won the cups for most points (runner-up Mr C Kestle), best collection and best exhibit. Mrs Ivy Bastard again won the cup for most points in the flower section, runner-up Mrs Sue Dibble, and Mrs Angela Hocking won both the cups for floral art. The cup and medal for best junior exhibit went to Joseph Hocking for his animal made from vegetable matter, with Daniel Hocking second and Marley Lamerton Madden third; Marley won a first prize for her allotment garden in a seed tray. The Play School entered their own class of an animal made from vegetables and the winners were Alice Simpson, Zoe Marshall and Thomas Holborow, and the pressed flowers on a card class was won by Gwen Pluess, Alice Simpson and Milly Philp.
