The Luncheon Club

10th Anniversary Party

Outing 2004 to Bude and Widemouth Bay

The volunteer helpers have laid the tables in our lovely village hall with pretty tablecloths, napkins and flower arrangements, before we arrive to eat. Not just delicious food, and it certainly is delicious and beautifully presented.

We all mingle and chat before we sit down to be served by our lovely ladies wearing frilly white pinnies!

Once a year a coach is arranged and we go forth for an enjoyable day out having lunch at a venue booked ahead of time.

Christmas lunch is something else! The hall glows, the tables are laid with crackers and festive centerpieces. A really splendid Christmas lunch is produced, hot and wonderful, with nothing missing. We also have wine and a gift for a lucky ticket holder. We each bring a gift to put in a sack, which then becomes a "dip" at the end of lunch. It is such fun and we end with a carol singsong.

Is it any wonder that there is a waiting list to join this club? The fourth Thursday of the month is a date to have in anyone's diary! Numbers however, by necessity have to be restricted to fifty.
