St Tudy Playing Field is close to the centre of the village and it can accessed by a footpath which is opposite and about 5metres beyond the Primary School on Redvale Road.

... Youth Club activities and football matches for children and adults ...

The now well "Over 30" fun football team.

It is the official home venue of our burgeoning children's football club and has even been a reserve location for the Church Fete. Its most regular use though is on a daily basis by the youngsters of the village who use it to casually play anything from hide and seek, to street hockey and basket ball.

The field was originally bought in the Spring of 1932, by Harold Schuster the Rector on behalf of the Carnival Committee. It cost £180 and was paid for with surplus carnival funds and the help of a grant from the National Playing Field Association of £30.

A constitution was created through the conveyancing agreement and a Committee of Trustees was established to include a Secretary, the Rector, the Chairman of the Parish Council and representatives of the Church and the Chapel. Although the actual personnel have changed from time to time over the years, this Committee has continued to manage and maintain the site. This could not have been done without the support of the School, the Parish Council, the Cornwall Rural County Council, NCDC, the Foundation for Sport a nd the Arts, the Cornwall Playing Fields Association and of course the villagers themselves!
