TREMEER OPEN GARDENS & FETE SATURDAY 15th MAY 2010 Lady George kindly agreed to open the gardens at Tremeer to host the St Tudy Church Fete and raise funds for the Parish Church. The day was blessed with glorious weather which set the gardens off to perfection, providing a colourful backdrop for the various stalls. Once the Fete was officially opened by Lady George, there was the Crowning of the Carnival Queen and the appointment of her attendants. Music was provided by St Minver Silver Band and Buskaid, interspersed with a fascinating mechanical pipe organ. Everyone agreed that it was a most successful and enjoyable day.
(As well as these photographs by Jeremy Northcott, there is a video of the fete by Doug Degnin - just click on this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDbkFko1ow4&feature )
