ST TUDY PARISH COUNCIL                                              ANNUAL PARISH 2011

Minutes of the 2011 St Tudy Annual Parish Meeting held in the St Tudy Village Hall on Wednesday, 30^th March 2011 at 7.00pm.

Present:  Cllrs. B Lamerton (Chairman), Mrs M Ham, J March, J Kempthorne, Mrs J Jasper.

Also attending:  Mrs J Hoskin (Parish Clerk)

                          Cllr J Rowe (Cornwall Council)

1.  Chairmans Welcome:  The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.

2.  Apologies for non attendance were received from Cllrs. C Selby (Vice Chairman), Mrs M Shelley, M Shelley, B Greaney.

3.  Minutes:  The Clerk read the Minutes of the 2010 Annual Parish Meeting held on the 31^st March 2010, and approved by the Parish Council on the 28^th April 2010.

4.  Chairmans Report – Parish Council:  Cllr B Lamerton presented his report. Copy attached to these minutes.

5.  Cornwall Council – Cllr J Rowe expressed his disappointment at the lack of public attendance at this Annual Parish Meeting, as two major issues concerning the village, the future of the post office / shop and the primary school were of huge importance to the community.

The Village was a strong community with a positive outlook and this was evident in the fight to have a new school, and retain the shop etc.

Cllr Rowe spoke about the Cornwall Council budget and the cuts having to be made.

Cllr Rowe congratulated the Council on their achievement over the past year and, in return the Chairman thanked Cllr Rowe for his continued support.

6.  Devon & Cornwall Police:  The Clerk reported that the Neighbourhood Beat Officer PCSO Paymnet was currently on leave.

7.  Any further Reports for this Meeting:

a)  Friends of St Tudy Community Shop:  The Steering Group were to meet on the 31^st March 2011 and a full Committee Meeting will be held on the 17^th April 2011 to decide on the exact site and type of building required.  Councillors agreed to finance the costs for any planning application, if required.

8.  Parish Matters:   No items reported.

9.  To close the 2011 Annual Parish Meeting:  There being no further business the meeting closed at 7.40pm.
