SHELTER BOX

Thank you St Tudy

What a wonderful village!

On Friday 22nd January 2010, John & I went down to ShelterBox HQ to hand over £1500.00 which was raised in 2 days at a Coffee Morning in the Clink on Wednesday 20th, a Quiz Night at the Cornish Arms that same evening and also envelopes through our door and notes and coins given to us in the street.  This was all in aid of the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.

If you would like to know more about this wonderful organization then why not go down to their open day on Saturday February 13th 2010.

From the ShelterBox website  www.shelterbox.org.uk  :

‘This is a great chance for supporters old and new to find out about ShelterBox and the work we do. There will be short films and slide shows for you to see, plus a range of display stands.

Find out about all the items that go into a Shelter Box; have a look around one of our disaster relief tents; see how the box gets packed by our teams of dedicated volunteers; how it gets delivered to those in need with our SRTs on hand to share their first hand experiences of delivering ShelterBox aid in the field; how we track our weather related disasters with the Met Office and how you can get involved.

Please feel free to drop in any time between 10am and 3pm.’

Location: ShelterBox HQ, Unit 1a Water-Ma-Trout, Helston, Cornwall, TR13 0LW
