TSUNAMI DISASTER
The dreadful news reports about the tsunami touched people all over the world. The villagers of St Tudy were no exception so on Saturday 1st January 2005 a Coffee Morning was organised by Sue & John Dibble helped by their friends, Jane King, Lady Le Bailly, Margaret & Godfrey Bevan and Rev. Margaret Millson. At 10 am the doors of The Clink were opened and for the next two hours the people kept coming; the number of raffle prizes grew & grew and unwanted Christmas gifts were brought for the Bring & Buy. At the end of an exhausting 2 hours the total raised was counted and to our amazement the final total was a magnificent £2310.00.
Thank you St Tudy.
